I am still waiting for the site to be re-opened since the two offending images has been removed and it has been made clear that there are no previous lawsuits in the US assuming that my use of metatags is illegal. Using small images as facsimiles to illustrate a text is well withing the laws in Norway and they have therefore been moved to one of my Norwegian accounts. I don't have time or resources (or the wish) to have this fight with you or your client in US. It would be reasonable to expect that the site (at least the main index page) will be made available again before the weekend. I am looking forward to a reply from you any time now. While I got your attention I would like to draw you attention to how others use metatags. The terms "SCIENTOLOGY, DIANETICS and L. RON HUBBARD" are all in the Encyclopedia Britannica and Encarta, and are used as metatags by the same. Take a look at the source for this page: http://search.britannica.com/bcom/eb/article/2/0,5716,68012+1,00.html : It shown that Encyclopedia Britannica uses "SCIENTOLOGY" as a metatag for this page. This is how the web works and the use is of course relevant and legal for this page (like with mine) since the page is about Scientology. Here is an extract from the source of the Encyclopedia Britannica html code: Are RTC going to sue Microsoft and Britannica next? I don't think so. Only reason they come after me is that they see an opportunity that my ISP will bend over and close my critical site just to be on the safe side. Their goal is simple: Make the most visited critical site unavailable for a period so that its ratings in search engines is reduced and make the impression that the site is not stable and therefore not safe to link to. An value added effect they get is that they make me and other critics busy arguing with ISP's and their lawyers instead of fighting the cult, and critics of Scientology will hopefully (in their opinion) be marked by most ISP's as problematic customers because of all the hubbub their activity generates. Is this the way the web should be? I would also like to comment on the Trademark and Service mark issue. Would you agree that I neither offer any services related to the registred Service marks or is involved in any trade on my site where the mentioned Trademarks are involved? I hope you manage to process this case as fast as possible. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: PGPfreeware 6.0.2i Comment: Visit me at: www.xenu.net or home.sol.no/~spirous/ iQA/AwUBODTwMTmiKi6NPEWnEQKZrwCeMgK6+x1ODQYPy2+XY2wuVduAXZMAn0Wy wdPaeemGwyoXQUSIAqi0nMFd =6RV3 -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- Best wishes, SP4 & Adm.
