Scientology, above all, would like to have ISP's responsible for the content of their customers. ISP's, above all, would like to be thought of as phone lines, a service provided for customers. With no responsibility to the ISP for what language or ideas the customers discuss. If ISP's become responsible for the content of their customers it seems to follow that ISP's will have to proofread every thing the customers type. When you took responsibility for Grady Ward's posts you opened a can of worms. There is more. Traditionally, the people who have lost accounts because of threatened legal action by Scientology have yet to sue the ISP. The overall opinion on ARS is that the cult is the problem and not the ISP. However, one of us is going to fight back someday and sue an ISP. Now then, since the die is cast, should I ever complain that I personally do not like the content of one of your customers, at that time I expect you to close their account also. Fail to do so and I may sue for Discrimination or something like that. You see, I too am a Religion. It is a tough task you have taken on. The task of deciding what is "proper speech". You may have a tough battle ahead of you. May I suggest an apology to Mr. Ward and re-instating the account.
