I met him on the net and have learned to know and respect him as a kind person with a honest and deeply rooted social commitment. I am told the reason for the action is that Grady posted "out of topic" in the mentioned newsgroup. We have only one serious problem there, and that is Scientologists spamming the group or anonymousely posting the most insulting personal attacks on critics to this church because we are so impudent that we dare to debate Scientology. We regulary see anonymous posts claiming critics of Scientology having raped their children, supported extreemists, having sex with animals, doing drugs, or in other ways acted odious. Their goal is simple and cruel: scare all from daring to say a negative word about Scientology. Like many others he have dared to stand up to the cult, in spite of what they have done and their threats. I admire people who act instead of bend over. I was also told that a posting by Grady with abusive language was attached to a complaint from a Scientologist known as William Gertner. If you knew what Grady has been through with this cult, and knew what context the post was made in, I see no rational reason to why anybody but the victims of his well founded verbal attacks would want to hinder him from his right to free speech on the net. Anyway, it is a blatant lie to say Grady posts out topic in the newsgroup mainly visited by critics. The mentioned post has an important mission, and Grady knows this. I don't like vulgar language either, but that doesn't mean we say it does not exist and that it has no effect. It doesn't mean it some times can be used, either as a parody or when emotionally moved. This cult seriousely gives many reasons to build up a need to steam off once in a while. Grady and many others can give you examples that will make you mad, if you had the time to listen and investigate. I can only hope that this cancellation was based on misunderstanding of the biased report from the named Scientologist and that Tidlepool will correct the error when they learn the full truth. I beg you at least not to jump to conclutions just based on reports from Scientologists, who we know is trained and ordered to lie and twist the truth.
