All of those providers are subsidiaries of Internet Ventures Inc which
has recently canceled the account of Grady Ward who was obtaining
access via Tidepool which, it is my understanding, is now owned by
Northcoast Internet Inc.

Grady Wards account was cancelled because of complaints by one or more
scientologists who didn't like what he was posting to
alt.religion.scientology.  Details of the controversy can be found at

_After_ cancelling Grady's account Tidepool's T&C were changed.  They
now include the following:

8. Tidepool Internet's access to the Internet may not be used to send
or submit for posting any abusive, illegal obscene, profane, sexually
explicit, or threatening material. Access may not be used to solicit
Account Holders to become users of any competitive Internet access
service.

In other words, Internet Ventures Inc. has taken it upon itself to do
that which the authors of the CDA could only dream of doing.
