MISCELLANEOUS INFORMATION
On 11/21/63 [BLACKED OUT] who is currently staying in room [BLACKED OUT],
appeared at the Ocala Resident Agency and furnished SA [BLACKED OUT] with
the following information:

[BLACKED OUT] he attended the Scientology Academy located at 1812
Northwest 19th St., Washington, D.C., and that he plans to pursue the
field of Scientology and intends to leave for England for additional
research under the founder of the Scientology Academy, Mr. L. RON HUBBARD.
[BLACKED OUT] stated he hopes to become a Scientology auditor and to
devote his life to this field. He stated his present plans call for him
leaving for England as soon as his business is finished in [BLACKED OUT]

He stated, however, he recently learned from one [BLACKED OUT] of
[BLACKED OUT] N.J. who is also a scientology auditor that Federal Agents
had either raided the academy or had conducted some type of investigation
concerning the academy and Mr. HUBBARD a few years ago. He stated
[BLACKED OUT] indicated the academy cooperated with this investigation and
made various tapes available to the Agents and nothing further was heard
from the investigation.
[BLACKED OUT] pointed out that while he is completely sold on the idea of
Scientology, he does not desire to pursue it further such as traveling to
England to study in the event the academy or its founder is under
investigation or if this is not a legitimate organization.
He pointed out that [BLACKED OUT] in advising him of this investigation
was rather vague and he felt this should be brought to the attention of
the FBI since the FBI might have been the agency who conducted this
supposedly [sic] investigation of the academy a few years ago.
The Bureau is requested to advise Jacksonville of any background
information concerning the scientology academy or L. RON HUBBARD and to
advise what if any of this information can be made available to [BLACKED
OUT] since it is anticipated that he will recontact the Ocala RA
concerning this matter.
