U-MAN NORGE AS

In reference to your letter of January 13 1999 demanding
that "my activity" must cease immediately and a written
apology must be sent to your client and to Internet.
First I have to inform you that none of the claimed 
attachments followed your letter and I therefore ask you
to try to send them again. I can not acknowledge or
comment these texts before I've seen them.

I'm a little bit surprised that U-MAN suddenly changes
their mind in this case. When the general manager of
U-MAN Norge, Geir Isene, called me in May 1998 he did
not mention during our long conversation anything close 
to my "activity" being libelous. On the contrary we had
a very pleasant conversation and Isene expressed that
U-MAN did not have anything else to comment on what I
did than that he wished to inform me on some single
issues he meant was wrong. It was agreed that he would
send me information that documented this. I later 
received a seven paged letter which I have read carefully
and taken into consideration. Since my goal is to make
different opinions and facts available, so that others
can make up their own opinion, I made the information from
U-MAN available on Internet together with my original 
letter to clients of U-MAN.

While waiting for additional information, as U-MAN 
wrote in their letter I would get, I took (as promised 
on the phone) a break after May 1998. But I never
received any more information and have now started this
again since new information has been made available to me.
If U-MAN also has new information nothing would be better
and I will, when this is received, study this very 
thoroughly.

I will of course not give any apology to your client
since it is my opinion that I in every sense have shown
proper care and have estimable reasons for my opinions.
I am engaged in a broad line of activities and can not
end all these just because of your unspecified demand.
I therefore assume that U-MAN will listen to their 
lawyer and await the legal actions you write your will
recommend to them.

And by the way; If mr. Isene and U-MAN now give a 
different version of our conversation on the phone, I 
will be only happy to let you hear details from it in 
court.
